Her boss begins the clean up process, wiping fingerprints, looking through her purse, etc. She is not dead.

She manages to crawl to her computer while he is distracted. All she has to do is send the file to her contact in the Senate and she will have won. And, she does. As the computer confirms this, the boss turns, sees her, then spins around as she stands up facing away from him.
