Completely surprised by his attack, she is pummeled to unconsciousness in seconds. Finding a pair of scissors, he cuts the girl’s clothes to shreds, revealing her fresh, youthful body, her most private parts on display. Binding her hands and feet with rope, he cruelly flicks her sensitive nipple to wake her up. Bruised, bound and naked, the frightened girl weeps as she see the threatening man loom over her and begs him not to hurt her. The first lie she tells to him is also the last, the man delivering a series of excruciating jolts, making her body shake and double up in pain.

Once he has wrung all the information he needs out of her, he produces an elegant, wire garrote from his pocket and pulls it around her neck. As he tightens the lethal device, choking her, they begin an intimate dance that he is all too familiar with. He’s always considered this part to be a form of magic, a brutal ritual that transforms a human life into a piece of meat. She writhes and fights with all her might, even freeing her wrists and ankles from the rope drawn tight around them, but he is focused, determined, as worshipful as an ancient hunter thanking the deer that he has felled. Reverential for the life he takes, despite the savage manner of his sacrifice. Young and in the prime of her life, she takes a long time to die, every ounce of her lithe body fighting for her life, but her end is a foregone conclusion. Her desperate clawing and kicking becoming feeble flailing and then merely twitches and fasciculations, as the neurons in her motor system start to shut down. Her eyes, once pretty and bright, turn dull and roll up into her head, her tongue lolling from a slack mouth. The man is no noob and has come prepared for all aspects of the job. Laying out a large, plastic sheet, he rolls her body into the middle of it and wraps her like a morbid Christmas present. Perhaps his employers will have him kill off the other family members, one by one, demonstrating to their target that he can’t even protect his loved ones, let alone himself. Dragging the girl’s body out to his car, he smiles, grateful for the chance to snuff out this one, little life, trying not to be greedy in hoping for more.
