She has only seconds to recover before he races into the bathroom and hand strangles her, lifting her off her feet. Karli is amazed at his ability to recover and at his strength. He nearly has her when she manages to grab a can of hair spray and use it to blind her attacker, forcing him to let go. Karli tries to crawl away but this time she’s run out of luck. Karli manages to reach the bedroom and inch towards the scissors she had placed near a notebook but her trembling fingers forces the scissors to fall to the floor, taking with them any chance she had for survival.
