After a long day at work, Lana is on the phone with her girlfriend explaining that a co-worker that she has been seeing came home with her, and she was unsure of how this impromptu date would go. Eventually, one of them has to leave to go to another scene; vowing to return later. The female CSI continues processing, unaware that she is about to be attacked.
